The City of Pacific Missouri is located in Franklin County, about 50 minutes southwest of Downtown St Louis via Interstate 44. Important roads for the community are Osage Street, 1st Street/Highway F, Congress Street/Highway N, St Louis Street, 4th Street and others. The City of Pacific Missouri was officially incorporated in 1859. In 2010, the population of Pacific was at 7,002 residents.

The residents of Pacific are served by the Meramec Valley R-III School District. Meramec Valley is a public school district and has five elementary schools, one Early Childhood Center, Meramec Valley Middle School (6th and 7th grade), Riverbend School (8th grade) and Pacific High School. St Bridget Catholic School is a private school that offers education to Pre-Kindergarten students through 8th grade.

The City of Pacific in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and other community groups host various annual events throughout the year. Those events include the SummerFest Car Cruise, Fireworks on Independence Day, The Great Pacific BBQ Contest, SpookFest, Christmas on the Plaza and others. The city maintains two parks, Blackburn Park and City Park.
